The National Society Descendants of American Farmers was founded in March 2019. This society is a non-profit, non-political lineage society for descendants of American farmers who were living in the contiguous continental states of the United States of America between July 4, 1776 and July 4, 1914. We are very pleased that sixty percent of a one-time membership fee of $300.00 goes into a Scholarship Fund for eligible university students going into an Ag-related field of study. In two short years, we have been able to award twenty scholarships in the amount of $36,000.00. Our awardees are highlighted on our national website. We currently have 1168 members.
We have LIVE ZOOM events frequently throughout the year and learn from a “front row perspective” about how Agri-Businesses operate. We truly are a society that appreciates and honors our American farmers, past, present, and future!

COLONIAL REGULATORS (DESCENDANTS OF)

Website: https://colonialregulators.weebly.com/
Facebook Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/colonialregulators
The War of Regulation or the Regulator Movement was an uprising that occurred from about 1765 and ended around 1771. During that time citizens took up arms against colonial officials they viewed as corrupt. Though the rebellion did not change the power structure, some historians view it as a catalyst to the American Revolution. As time progressed it began to be clear that there were other efforts that occurred prior to the revolution that were part of the movement against tyrannical government and abuse of power. It was decided to include these events as well to honor those individuals that participated in a qualifying “regulator movement” activity before 31 Dec 1776. Descendants of Colonial Regulators welcomes all of those who wish to honor ancestors who stood up for our rights as citizens in this country and fought against tyranny. Our group is open to men and women over the age of 18 who can demonstrate a connection to a qualifying ancestor as laid out in the membership application materials.

Life Membership is open to any person who can prove kinship in any degree to a notable American in any one of nine categories. Anyone who has colonial ancestry is likely to have several notable kinsmen. Your ancestor must be an American (born no earlier than 1550), the notable American must be deceased and must also be an American. In most cases, cousinship is how people will gain membership; direct descent from a notable is not a requirement. Some examples appear on our website, but the list of possibilities is legion. Visit our website where our application and instructions can be downloaded.

SOVEREIGNS OF GREAT BRITAIN (ORDER OF AMERICAN COUSINS OF THE PRESENT AND FUTURE)

“British Sovereigns,” as we call ourselves, is not a royal group, per se. Both Queen Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother and HRH Diana Spencer, the late Princess of Wales had AMERICAN ancestors, as well as their British heritage. Consequently, these women have tens of thousands of American cousins who can connect to them without even having a Gateway Ancestor. This society focuses on Colonial ancestors in common with these women, and seeks to honor those kinships, revealing even closer kinships than those established through royal descent. Life Membership is open to any adult (18+) who can prove descent from an American ancestor who is also an ancestor of one or the other of these two notables. Email for a propositus form and a list of ALL qualifying ancestors.
